Sales Support - Southern Europe
Provides office support to internal and external sales executives and relationship managers.
Engages in sales related activities in close partnership with sales executives.
**Core Responsibilities
- Assists Southern Europe sales team in populating and auditing client and prospect databases.
- Responds to routine or lower complexity inquiries from potential and current clients based in Italy, Switzerland, France and Spain.
- Supports sales executives with a variety of administrative and client follow up requests to enable sales executives to maximize external client and prospect engagement.
- Works with the marketing team to support the Sales Manager and Sales Executives at conferences and events.
Gathers metrics for data analysis.
- Researches solutions to client needs and analyzes performance data and market data.
Collaborates and contributes to the Southern Europe business strategy preparation with research and analysis.
- Collects data and research to prepare for sales presentations for Sales Executives' and Sales Manager's client meetings.
This requires independent and pro-active thinking and a close working relationship with Sales Executives / Sales Manager, products/capital markets and marketing teams for ensuring high level of quality and consistency.
- Prepares fund mapping analysis and performance documents for all prospects utilizing Morningstar and other databases.
This includes: Overseeing research database, researching, reviewing and analyzing prospect holdings, determining comparative Vanguard and alternative fund offerings and reviewing and providing thorough analysis.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree required.
Master's degree preferred.
- One to two years of experience in financial services or management consulting.
- Understanding of asset management industry and relevant products and services preferred.
- Strong client focus and ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
- A self-motivated team player, with a collaborative mindset.
- Strong analytical skills
- In-depth knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Programming skills, e. g. , macros in Excel preferred.
- Bloomberg / Morningstar user knowledge preferred.
- Languages - Italian and English: fluent.
Required additional European language German (preferable) or French preferable.
Spanish a plus.
