Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will create and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specifications or requirements to achieve market competitiveness and high margins for the Company. Maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers in the area of responsibility.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Formulating competitive bids/estimates/quotations, considering the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations. Ensuring tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs. Managing the preparation of all technical, financial, and project management aspects of the bid. Ensuring inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures. Managing external services to support bid preparation such as translations and governmental approvals. Collecting and archiving documentation regarding the offer/order and recording assumptions and decisions taken during the development process. Regularly reporting the status of bids/estimates/quotations using defined tools and analyzing the reasons for tenders being lost and won. Identifying potential risks in bids, quotations, estimates, and related contract agreements. Participating in the Risk Review process in accordance with ABB policy. Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. Identifying potential vendors for equipment and materials required in the project and technically evaluating supplier offers. Collaborating with Supply Chain Management to coordinate requests to subcontractors. You will join a talented team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the roleSkilled in the industrial automation sector with a specific background in process analytical systems. 5 or more years of experience in the same role and managing projects involving analytical systems. Passionate about customer orientation and enjoy working in a team. Degree in Environmental, Process, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Chemistry. Comfortable communicating in Italian and English. Availability for short-medium term travel (from 1 day to 2-3 weeks) within the national territory and abroad. What's in it for you?
