Offer Description The objective of the research is the definition of the quality features to be used as driving parameters for multi-view representations, and for the quality assessment of the rendered views.

This activity will be focused on two main tasks:

The selection of the quality features that will be used to support the creation of the synthesized views based on the characteristics of the human visual system and of the viewing behaviour in a multiview scenario, with a specific focus on content saliency.

The assessment of the quality of the rendered views as perceived by the final user by exploiting objective and subjective assessments.

Objective evaluation will rely on state-of-the-art quality metrics (e. g. , SSIM, PSNR_HVS_M) while subjective evaluation will consist in the design and implementation of subjective tests.
