For our Science Communication department, we are looking for a Science Communication Officer with a good knowledge of the Horizon Europe Programme. You will be in charge of managing dissemination and communication programmes for Horizon research projects in multiple areas, including energy, smart cities, circular economy, bio-economy, health and sustainability.

RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be accountable for:

Developing communication materials in English; Looking after the implementation and maintenance of the project's online communication channels;Liaising with the members of the ICONS Graphic and Web design, Social media and video making teams, as well as journalists and other communication professionals; Working on deliverables (e. g.communication and dissemination strategy, reports on communication activities);Holding media and external stakeholders relations;Acting as a touchpoint with project consortia and the European Commission representatives; Representing ICONS at consortium and client meetings;Organising workshops and events;Supporting and writing proposals in collaboration with the ICONS Grant Office. Flexibility and strong team-working skills with a cooperative problem-solving attitude;Ability to load balance across multiple projects;Availability and willingness to travel abroad for project meetings;Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);Communication and presentation skills (both oral and written) in Italian and English (C2 level or equivalent);Excellent writing skills. BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE Degree in Communication, Economic/Social Science or Science Communication studies; 3 years of experience as Communication Officer/Manager;Knowledge of EC-funded H2020 or Horizon Europe Programme;Interest in Science Communication;Communication and presentation skills (both oral and written) in Italian and English (C2 level or equivalent);Experience in journalism will be considered as a plus. WORKING LOCATION Lody (Italy) - remote (hybrid)

CONTRACT We are looking for a professional willing to collaborate with ICONS on a long term basis.

ICONS will consider freelance contractors.

The offered fee will depend on qualifications and work experience.
