Scientific Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist

In line with its mission to serve the research community at large, HT operates National Facilities, specifically aimed at making HT's technologies, methods and tools available to the national scientific community.
HT is looking for a Scientific Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of scientific equipment in research laboratories.
The successful candidate, reporting to the Senior Scientific Infrastructure Advisor, will support the Scientific Instrumentation Maintenance Manager in the following activities: ensuring instruments are operational, following maintenance schedules, and managing documentation and inventory.
Key tasks and responsibilities: Ensure that all scientific instruments are functional and properly maintained by supervising external technicians and/or directly executing preventive and corrective maintenance. Support the execution of preventive maintenance programs. Support and advise the operators in decision-making about repair or replacement. Perform installations, setup, and basic repairs of scientific equipment. Perform basic diagnostics, calibrations, and testing of instruments under guidance. Help maintain the spare parts inventory and ensure stock availability. Contribute to developing and maintaining procedures for the proper and safe use of instruments. Contribute to updating maintenance records, equipment logs, and documentation in the asset management system. Work closely with HT research and facility staff to support and facilitate lab operations, and with external technicians to ensure equipment maintenance is performed according to service contracts provisions. Mandatory requirements: Technical Institute Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanics, Mechatronics, or a Professional Technician Diploma. 2 years of experience in scientific instrumentation maintenance or a related technical field. Good electrical/electronic knowledge. Experience with mechanical systems and tools. Experience in workshop and laboratory environments. Nice to have: Ability to use measuring and manual instruments. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and inventory/service management software. English knowledge. Organisational and social skills: Good organizational and problem-solving abilities. Salary indication: up to 40k depending on candidate's seniority.
