Scientific Officer - National Facilities Access

The Human Technopole (HT) is an interdisciplinary research institute, created and supported by the Italian government, whose aim is to develop innovative strategies to promote human health and healthy aging through a multidisciplinary and integrated approach, combining genomics, computational biology, structural biology, neuroscience and health data science. HT scientists work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment to help promote life science research nationally and internationally. In line with its mission to serve the research community at large, HT operates National Facilities, specifically aimed at making HT's technologies, methods and tools available to the national scientific community.
HT's User Access Office is responsible for managing the access of external Users to HT's National Facilities, including through the coordination of the Convenzione's provisions in terms of identification of national community needs, publication of open calls for access and evaluation of user access requests, by supporting the Standing Independent Evaluation Committee (SIEC).
Human Technopole is looking for a motivated, fast learning Scientific Officer - National Facilities Access to support the starting activities of the office, including the set-up of the access procedures and related documentation and the management of the pilot call for access.
The successful candidate will actively contribute to managing the access by Italian researchers to HT's National Facilities, including supporting the publication of open calls for access, assisting applicants, providing administrative support for project evaluation and management of approved projects.
Your main tasks and responsibilities: Provide support in setting up and managing the User Access management system, including supervision of projects in terms of status and fulfillment of administrative steps. Preparation of documents and workflows related to Physical and non-physical User Access. Organizing the kick-off meeting and coordinating the finalization and signature of the Access Agreement. Assist the coordination of the physical Access of external researchers to the National Facilities, including the onboarding. Liaising with relevant stakeholders when Access includes a research collaboration between the parties. Actively manage the setup and update of the NF webpage as requested by the Convenzione. Support National Facility Heads and Managers in managing logistical aspects of user access. Organize meetings and/or events to promote the offer of the National Facilities. Help develop tools and methods to assess the impact of National Facility activities.
Mandatory requirements University degree in life sciences or other relevant field. Experience in the academic and/or life sciences sector, nationally and internationally. Familiarity with core facility access procedures. Experience in at least one of the technology fields relevant to HT National Facilities. Experience with management of scientific projects. Fluency in English. Preferred requirements PhD degree in life sciences or other relevant field. Knowledge of Italian. Organizational and social skills Pro-active attitude. Team player. Fast learner. Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. Good problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills. Good negotiation and conflict resolution attitude. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and changing priorities. Strong attention to detail.
