We are looking for a Scientific Officer for the Nutrition and Food Innovation Unit in the GMO team.

esperienza 1 anno Excellent knowledge of English (at least B2 level); Knowledge of toxicology risk assessment, molecular biology and genetically modified organisms; At least 1 year of working experience in collecting and collating evidence, writing and reviewing scientific documents, analyzing and interpreting data with statistics; Good knowledge of IT tools, including MS Power Point, Excel, Word; Behavioural competencies: able to work independently and drive tasks to completion, team player, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Assignment: initial contract of 3 months, with possibility of extensions.

Expected duration of assignment 12 months.

Salary: approx.

€3660 per month before taxes.

Work modalities: office work is required on at least 2 days per week.

Remote work is possible within 2 hours from Parma for the remaining days.

Support to GMO risk assessments and opinion development for running GMO dossers: in particular support-tasks on Food Feed safety aspects of the assessment as well as Molecular Characterizations aspects of the products; Implement the decisions taken by WG experts during the WG meetings or the GMO Panel meetings; Follow up on scientific discussions; Help to prepare documents or gather additional information to be discussed.
