Job Summary:
Your role will be to manage client relationships with Italian market insurance entities to develop existing business relationships and seek opportunities to develop new ones.
You will understand client needs and priorities to maximize business generation within the constraints of the company's underwriting policy and profitability targets. You will support the Market Manager in the management of business relationships with Key Clients.
Key duties and responsibilitiesUnder the authority of the Market Manager you will be asked to:
Underwrite, build and maintain a profitable portfolio in accordance with the Treaty underwriting guidelinesManage the relationship with the clients under assigned responsibilityDetect new business opportunities, whether with existing clients or with prospectsIdentify and understand client's needs and propose appropriate SCOR reinsurance solutions and servicesMain ActivitiesStudy clients' reinsurance needs and identify new business targetsBuild and formalize reinsurance offers, with the support of SCOR actuarial teams, in accordance with the UW GuidelinesNegotiate with clients the terms and conditions ofthe proposed solutions, in order to finalize efficiently the deals with cedents and implement the reinsurance treaties.
All that must be lead in full compliance with SCOR's guidelines and active part may have to be taken in the internal validation processBuild and maintain relationships with ceding companies and their reinsurance brokersRegular client visitsReport regularly on accounts, visits and marketing activityPromote SCOR to our customers by using the communication and marketing products (seminars, forums, materials etc). Work in close cooperation and coordination with the colleagues in the Treaty networkAnalyze the Treaty portfolio paying attention to profitabilityRegularly interact with our actuarial and claims teamParticipate in the elaboration of the business planAssure the completeness of the administrative data and supervise the administration of the OMEGA back-office tool (in liaison with the Technical Assistants) in relation to new or existing accountsPrice with in-house Pricing Tool (X-act) in accordance with the delegated authorityTreaty wording design and controlRequired education, experiences & competenciesCompleted University Degree in the field of Business Administration, Economics, Insurance Science, or similar5-10 years of working experience in a reinsurance company, reinsurance department of an insurance company or reinsurance broker in a role that included decision making underwriting experience as well as customer management. Commercial skills:
strong interpersonal skills, client centricity.
Confidence to develop and maintain a network of brokers and clientsGood negotiation skills, ability to listen and to observe, flexibility.
Good team player. Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance market in Italy, of insurance products and needs, of distribution channels, of financial and economic environment.
Knowledge of legal environment of insurance and reinsurance contracts, insurance accounting aspects. Hard worker capability, especially for activity peaks, for business negotiation and delivery situations under stringent time constraints; rigorous and accurate work deliverer.
