Galileo is looking for a Senior Accountant to review the activities performed by the external financial service providers and participate in the monthly closing process, helping structure the accounting and P2P processes for all the legal entities of the Galileo group across Europe.

This person will be based in Milan (with the possibility of hybrid remote working) and report to the Head of Accounting.

What you'll do: Perform general ledger, A/P and A/R postings;

Perform monthly closing activities: review trial balances prepared by external service providers and ensure they are correctly integrated into our consolidation process;

Collaborate with our external service providers, sharing information and providing instructions on how to account for different transactions;

Act as a point of reference for junior colleagues in the accounting team;

Support other departments (M&A, BD…) with the accounting activities related to projects and deals;

Collaborate on the procure to pay automation project.

RequirementsWhat you'll need: At least 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles within international companies.

A previous experience in the energy or infrastructure sector will be considered a plus;

Experience in structuring accounting/financial processes in growing and international environments;

Diploma in Accounting and/or degree in Accounting or Finance subjects;

Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 F&O will be a plus);

Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken;

Very good communication skills;

Aptitude for problem solving and proactivity.
