If so, please read further!The RoleWe are now looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Milan, Italy.

In this role you will be:Responsible for managing all aspects of finance and accounting of the Company, involving preparation of financial statements, statutory reporting, budgeting, taxation and cash management.

Maintain full set of accounts and responsible for monthly close activities such as bank reconciliations, preparing financial reports. Ensure compliancy to relevant and applicable statutory, international and internal accounting and tax standards. Enhance communication between finance teams in all relevant GAR offices with local team in other departments such as operations and commercial. Support on establishing our new Italian entity and be part of the setting off phase, from new standard to reporting methodologies to align standard with our other main offices. Become owner of PNL reporting and performance assessment monthly. The role will be reporting to the Head of Finance, based in Madrid. Main TasksResponsible for the financial record keeping undertaken in Italy.

Maintain all accounting/finance records in SAP and ensure maintenance of the general ledger. Facilitate the monthly and annual financial closing processes through the preparation of standard reports as well as other custom reports as requested.

Internal reporting, balance sheet and PL per business unitAdvice and assist various departments on accounting procedures by researching and interpreting national and international accounting policy and regulations. Coordinate external / internal audits and prepare audit requirements. Review and analyse financial statements and provide reports and data analysis to various internal stakeholders. Prepare consolidated financial accounts for Italian entity.

Transfer Pricing requirements. Assist in managing account payable and receivable activities.

In respect of commercial activity:Work with credit team to manage counterpart exposures and follow up on receivables, Ensure adequate liquidity to support the business. Bank and petty cash reconciliations. Working capital management (minimum cash balance, minimum overdue). Inventory reconciliation between both systems (Agiblocks and SAP). Assist in Intercompany reconciliations with all related parties. Tax requirements (VAT, CIT, Intrastat but not limited to).

Work closely with the HR Manager and support in HR matters regarding Italian Labour Law.

Communicate closely with the operations team to ensure smooth execution. QualificationsBachelor or Master's Degree in Accounting Knowledge of International Accounting StandardsExperience with Italian GAAP 5 - 7 years' experience in accountingWorking experience in the Commodity industry Experience in consolidation workPersonalityExcellent knowledge of English High level of education and experience within an office environment Proactive and looking for areas for improvement Organized and logical, willing to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures.
