Eaton's Mobility Group has an opening for a Senior Automation Engineer and PLC programmer who will be part of the EMIC (Eaton Machine Innovation Center) Team and will join us in Bosconero valves plant. EMIC Team supports Eaton product lines on a global basis, being the reference for specific know-how and expertise on machines design and realization (historically mainly for Eaton valves plants), supporting, leading and driving improvement, innovation, standardization and best practice sharing across the product line and operations. The EMIC is designing, building, installing specific innovative and high technology equipment. The Automation Engineer and PLC programmer is responsible for the complete electrical and software design of the machine, including the practical execution of the project. He has excellent knowledge of machine mechanics, a logical approach, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. He is a skilled PLC programmer able to easily identify and design a robust program fit for any mechanical or electrical purpose. What you'll do: Design of the electrical schemes of the machine Definition of the bill of materials for the electrical components, including the market research and relationship with suppliers (requests for quotation and budgeting) Programming of the machine software (PLC, NC, Robot, etc. ). Advanced and standard programming Machine debugging and run-off in-house Machine installation and run-off at the Customer location Support to Customers Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering: Electronic, Automation, Mecatronics) At least 3 years' experience as a PLC programmer. Skills: Basic knowledge required and demonstrated ability preferred in designing the automation architecture, programming the PLC of the machine (or Robots and NC) and designing the electrical schemes using specific CAD software Electrical and mechanical engineering experience preferred. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and mechanical processes. Knowledge of software design principles. Proficiency in CAD and AutoCAD software. Detailed knowledge of PLC automation software and coding languages Basic knowledge of CE Marking and Machinery Directive / Industrial Safety standards preferred PLC programming: Structured Text (ST) Sequential Function Charts (SFC) Ladder Logic Diagram (LD) Function Block Diagram (FBD) Instruction List (IL) Specific PLC brands: SIEMENS, OMRON, FANUC, ALLEN & BRADLEY Basic knowledge of Robots and Cobots programming LI-EC1 We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for job applicants and employees.
