About This Opportunity: As Senior Engineering Program Manager, you will play a central role in driving Docebo's transformation towards a Domain-Driven Design (DDD) approach, ensuring alignment of engineering processes with this architecture philosophy. Responsible for a significant area of the technology team, this leader will oversee engineers across multiple areas and technology functions, guiding both engineering managers, tech leads, and individual contributors. While not expected to code, they are accountable for the teams' overall technical competence, fostering growth through training, hiring, and staying abreast of industry trends. The role will also directly integrate Quality Assurance (QA) practices into product development workflows, fostering a culture of built-in quality and continuous improvement. Acting as a key cross-functional collaborator, this leader ensures that product initiatives are delivered efficiently, with a focus on domain alignment, scalability, and customer satisfaction. They will contribute to architecture and design efforts, ensuring that developed solutions align with product and business needs and can scale appropriately and they are dedicated to creating highly functional, engaged, and motivated teams. Reports to: Director Engineering Operations To help our teams work together effectively, this role requires you to be located in Italy. Responsibilities: Plan and manage the execution of complex, domain-focused projects involving multiple teams, ensuring delivery of scalable and well-structured solutions. Identify and address impediments to progress, ensuring seamless communication between domains and other organizational units. Advocate for initiatives that prioritize customer value, leveraging domain understanding and integrated QA to deliver impactful and reliable solutions. Lead and advocate for the adoption of DDD principles across teams, ensuring a consistent understanding and application of domain models in engineering practices. Enhance product delivery processes by integrating domain-driven workflows and robust testing practices. Embed QA into the software development lifecycle, promoting a "shift-left" approach to testing, and support higher velocity and reliability. Work closely with domain experts, Product Managers, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementations, fostering collaboration and shared ownership. Provide coaching and development opportunities for Software Development Managers and other team leaders, focusing on both technical and leadership growth within the DDD framework. Champion the use of agile methodologies, emphasizing adaptability, domain-driven priorities, and iterative delivery. Define and track metrics related to program execution, domain adoption, and quality outcomes, reporting results to stakeholders across all organizational levels. Lead recruitment, headcount management and planning, career development, and training. Own retention goals within the organization, dedicated to creating highly functional, engaged, and motivated teams. Balance immediate and long-term product and business-focused work with technical debt and strategic technical development. Develop strategic and tactical technology roadmaps that address business requirements, efficiency, revenue generation, and technological innovation. When required, manage vendor relationships and participate in the budgeting process. Requirements: 7 years in program or project management within software development, including experience managing cross-functional teams. Excellent command of the English language both verbally and in writing. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and integrated product delivery. Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment. Technical knowledge to verify the acceptance criteria of the delivered activities. Proven planning and prioritizing skills to deliver deadlines. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts. Ability to manage upwards, influencing senior leaders. Ability to review processes and drive change through continuous improvement. Nice to have: Familiarity with SaaS platforms and architecture principles is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus. Knowledge of Amazon AWS, Enterprise Level Application.
