This position is based in Milan, Italy. As a Senior HVAC and Utilities Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the Mechanical Department, coordinating and supervising HVAC and Mechanical designs with a particular focus on Data Center projects.

You will ensure project deliverables meet design criteria, client requirements, and timelines while fostering a collaborative and motivated project team environment. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate HVAC and mechanical designs, with expertise in Black Utilities, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Plan engineering activities in line with project schedules and deliverables. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance throughout project execution. Develop design criteria, calculations for airflow balance, and utilities systems. Promote sustainable design practices and contribute to design sustainability reviews. Create and revise technical specifications, P&IDs, and infrastructure service documents. Oversee and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and 3D modelling experts. Attend client and stakeholder coordination meetings, ensuring project alignment. Perform project reviews, technical alignments, and bid evaluations for tender packages. Support construction activities and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards. RequirementsMaster's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering. Minimum 8 years of experience in HVAC and Utilities design, with a strong track record in local and international projects. Familiarity with technical codes such as ASHRAE and energy sustainability standards. Proficiency in English and Italian. Availability for national and international assignments. Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Preferred QualificationsHands-on experience with Data Center projects. Knowledge of Revit MEP, BIM platforms (e. g. , BIM360, Naviswork), and energy modeling software (e. g. , IES, HAP). CFD analysis expertise and understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS).
