NextChem S. p. A. is a holding company controlling several different daughter companies that act as licensors of technologies in the chemicals / petrochemicals / fertilizers sectors as well as proprietary & critical equipment suppliers within the same technological domains.

Within NextChem S. p. A. , the centralized PEQ function has the mandate to set up the strategy and execute its supply chain for proprietary and critical equipment.

The Senior Inspector – Proprietary and Critical Equipment mission is to ensure, in agreement with the Inspection & Technical Qualification Group Leader and in coordination with the Expediting & Logistics function and through interaction with suppliers, the monitoring of supplies of Proprietary and Critical Equipment from a technical compliance perspective, in accordance with the quality requirements requested by the projects, highlighting any deviations and non-conformities, reporting or intervening in accordance with company and project objectives.

Main task and responsibilities: Organize and complete meetings to define the quality and management aspects of the order (pre-inspection meetings), manage inspection notifications in accordance with project requirements;Analyze and verify, in agreement with the Inspection & Technical Qualification Group Leader, the quality control plans (ITP) issued by suppliers and sub-suppliers, and establish the notification requirements (witness points/hold points) for various inspections;Attend inspection activities (including but not limited to non-destructive and dimensional tests, mechanical tests on metallic materials, execution of welding procedure qualification tests and welder qualification, final/packing inspection) at assigned suppliers and sub-suppliers, issuing the relevant reports;Prepare the assignment package for the third party agency inspector, detailing the inspection tasks, with the assistance of the PEQ Expediting & Logistics function;In agreement with the Inspection & Technical Qualification Group Leader, interact and support, as appropriate, the Project Manager, the Project Leaders of the technical disciplines, throughout the project for quality and inspection related topics;Propose to the PEQ Inspection & Technical Qualification Group Leader the opening of non-conformities (also based on reporting of third party agency inspectors) and punch lists, ensuring their management until closure;Manage relationships with the Supplier's QA/QC Manager;Provide assistance to the Client assigned inspector;Support, in agreement with the PEQ Inspection & Technical Qualification Group Leader, the initial technical qualification of potential new suppliers, collecting the supplier basic information and questionnaire, auditing the supplier at its premises, following up any Action Plan assigned to the supplier;Support, in agreement with the PEQ Inspection & Technical Qualification Group Leader, the evaluation, performance, and results of assigned suppliers;Following the positive outcome of the final inspection, communicate the technical release of the material to the PEQ Expediting & Logistics function and issue relevant IRN;Ensure the constant updating of sensitive data in the company management system for the supplies;Maintain the constant technical and qualification updates required by company procedures for the assignment;Define, in accordance with project procedures, the structure of the final documentation. Knowledge and educational level: Mechanical Engineering background (Bachelor is preferred)IWE/IWT/IWS CertificationISO 9712 CertificationsExtensive years of experience in the field of inspection, testing and manufacturing processes (> 10 years).
