Senior Instrumentation Control Engineer
Senior Instrumentation & Control Specialist (Buildings) We are looking for a Senior Instrumentation & Control Specialist with at least 5 years of experience in Fire & Gas (F&G) systems, HVAC control systems, and Telecommunication & Security systems for Buildings. The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing and validating technical documentation, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and supporting procurement activities. The role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, international standards, and system integration, as well as the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. 1. Your Role Ensure technical documentation is aligned with project specifications and industry standards. Oversee system integration for Fire & Gas, HVAC, and Telecommunication & Security systems. Assess vendor proposals and participate in procurement decision-making. Act as a technical reference for instrumentation and control within building projects. 2. Your Responsibilities Technical Documentation Review: Analyze and validate engineering drawings, specifications, and reports, identifying discrepancies and ensuring compliance with NFPA, IEC, ISA, ASHRAE, and BICSI standards. System Design Verification: Evaluate architecture, wiring diagrams, instrument lists, and control schematics for F&G and HVAC control systems, ensuring proper integration with building control systems. Procurement & Vendor Alignment: Compare technical offers, perform bid evaluations, and ensure supplier solutions align with project requirements. Engage in technical discussions with vendors to clarify specifications and resolve discrepancies. Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and structural teams to ensure smooth system integration and alignment with overall project design. Troubleshooting & Optimization: Support commissioning activities, address technical issues, and provide recommendations for system improvements. 3. Requirements Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: At least 5 years in Instrumentation & Control engineering, with a focus on Fire & Gas, HVAC, and Telecommunication & Security systems in buildings. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of control strategies, system architecture, and instrumentation design for building applications. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), and other relevant engineering tools. Familiarity with international engineering standards (NFPA, IEC, ISA, ASHRAE, BICSI). Ability to review and assess technical documentation and vendor specifications. Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and technical reporting abilities. Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and engage with international stakeholders.
