The Senior Instrumentation Engineer will be in charge of developing, together with Process and other Engineering Departments, the engineering related to the instrumentation of a chemical plant.

He/She will be responsible for the preparation of all Instrument related documents, starting from the basis of design and from process documentation such as P&ID, Process Datasheet and Duty Spec; and to coordinate all instrument related activities during the subsequent phases, depending on Contract Typology.

The specialist will have a high degree of autonomy and is requested to support process, package and R&D department in improving and development of each technology in the company portfolio.

The specialists will report to the Head of Engineering Department for all the activities not directly related to a specific project.

Key Activities & Responsibilities: Preparation of documents for cost and erection works estimation; Review Client technical documentation and requirements; Define engineering design basis and guidelines; Coordinate engineering subcontractor and related activities; Provide technical support to Project Team; Optimize Instrumentation design ensuring minimal cost and complexity, in compliance with the safety requirements, good engineering practice and contractual rules; Participate to P&ID mechanization and provide comments for the instrumentation parts; Prepare Instrumentation general design specifications and particular technical specification Prepare Instrumentation List, I/O List; Prepare Instrumentation data sheets and Material requisition; Prepare Instrumentation Typical installation drawings (Hook-Up Drawings); Prepare Instrumentation layout drawings (Instrument Layout / Cable Routing Layout / Pneumatic Distr.

Layout); Prepare Instrument Wiring Documents (Junction Box Wiring and Loop Diagram); Prepare Instrument cable list and Cable Drum Schedule; Prepare Instrumentation Bulk Material Take Off; Review of Vendor Quotations , perform Technical Alignment and preparation of the Technical Bid evaluation in coordination with procurement department; Vendor documents follow Up; Validate control valves, On-Off Valve and safety valves sizing and calculations; Validate Flow elements sizing and calculations; Validate Instrumentation 3D modeling activities; Participate to F. A. T.

activities ad Vendor workshop; Participate in developing the best and more efficient instrument selection together with the mechanical development of the company proprietary equipment.

If required by specific project, which involve Nextchem support during erection phase he/she will: Provide technical and engineering support to construction Team; Perform site engineering activities during construction and commissioning phases (Installation supervision and Loop check activity); Coordinate and verify Quality control activity.
