Senior Java Developer | Hybrid Italy | Freelancer ContractRole OverviewWe are looking for a highly experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team on a freelance contract.

The ideal candidate should have extensive expertise in Java/J2EE, database management, front-end technologies, and enterprise frameworks.

This role requires a hybrid work model (2 days on-site, 3 days remote) and is open to EU candidates or non-EU candidates already based in Italy with a valid work permit.

Work with databases (Oracle, MySQL) and optimize SQL queries. Develop and enhance front-end components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Implement and manage version control and build tools (GIT, Maven, SVN). Utilize Spring Framework, Hibernate/EclipseLink for backend development. Work with Apache Solr + Lucene for search indexing and retrieval. Maintain JSP-based applications and ensure performance optimization.
