Job Description We are urgently seeking a highly experienced  Senior Java Developer with 12+ years of technical expertise  to join our team in Ispra, Italy.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and integration of cutting-edge, multi-tier Java-based web applications within a secure JEE/HTTP ecosystem.

Important: this is on-site/hybrid position in Ispra, Italy :) Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain multi-tier web applications using JEE.

Plan and implement advanced integration strategies and patterns within secure environments.

Design scalable and efficient APIs (REST or SOAP) with excellent knowledge of HTTP protocols.

Work on microservices architectures to deliver modular and flexible solutions.

Perform data modeling and optimize physical database design (preferred but not mandatory).

Qualifications Minimum of 12 years of experience in Java-based application development.

Deep expertise in JEE, REST APIs, and/or SOAP APIs.

Excellent understanding of HTTP, API design, and integration patterns.

Strong knowledge of microservice architecture and principles.

Proven experience in secure application development within a JEE/HTTP environment.

Experience in data modeling and database design is a strong plus.
