Senior Learning & Development Manager (L. 68/99) At MBE Italy, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning & Development Manager to lead our training initiatives to develop our retail staff and ensure that all stakeholders are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.
Reporting directly to the Country Manager Italy and functionally to the L&D Vice President, the Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in helping the Company achieve its goals by implementing the global training strategy at the local level.
He/she will be responsible for designing and executing effective learning plans that aim to promote a shared understanding of our products and services, processes, technologies, and infrastructures as well as corporate culture and behaviors among both corporate and franchisees network.
Eventually, the Training Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing effective training programs that meet the needs of our retail network and improve overall performance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales and training, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a passion for developing others.
Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for new retail employees, including onboarding, orientation, and product knowledge training.
Collaborate with franchisees and store managers to identify training needs and develop tailored training programs for their teams and track activities and common L&D KPIs.
Build relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure training initiatives are aligned with business objectives.
Conduct frequent visits in the network to collect learning needs and to give support where appropriate.
Evaluate the effectiveness and success of development plans and support key stakeholders by making adjustments as necessary to ensure they meet the needs of our stores and drive performance improvement.
Manage the local section of the global e-learning platform in terms of contents, users, and reports.
Regularly liaise with the L&D WW team and collaborate on international projects.
Ensure the proper roll out of the Global initiatives in the local market.
Define and track the budget in collaboration with L&D WW, handle the relationship with L&D suppliers and vendors.
Lead and mentor a team of trainers to ensure they are equipped to deliver high-quality training programs.
Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in retail sales and training, and incorporate them into our training programs.
Provide and coordinate both in presence and online trainings such as Network Induction, Products and Services, Digital skills, B2B Sales training and coaching, Network Engagement (e. g. , Area sales meetings, Committee, Innovation Process, etc. ).
Requirements 5-10 years' experience as an L&D or Training Manager, Training Coordinator, or similar roles with a focus on Sales Training (experience in the Franchising industry is advantageous).
University degree in Business, Education, or related field.
In-depth understanding of effective learning and development methodologies.
Sound knowledge of e-learning platforms and other digital training tools.
Experience in project management and budgeting.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams.
Ability to build relationships with franchisees, employees, and vendors.
A sharp business acumen and familiarity with developing Sales Skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to improve and harmonize processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
Willingness to travel to various retail stores as needed.
Fluent in Italian and English.
Proficiency with MS Office suite, especially Excel.
Eligible to work in Italy/EU without sponsorship.
