Senior Legal Counsel - Insurance
ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior Legal of Milan Branches is member of the Legal Department (located in Paris) and operates for Italian Branches, following rules, policy and guidelines provided by Legal Department.
The Senior Legal responsibilities include managing contractual documentation for B2B, B2C and suppliers contracts, reviewing and validating the contract drafts developed by the responsible departments.
Acting within the legal team, he/she also coordinates with Policy Servicing teams and supports other departments in managing the relationship with Financial Partners on legal matters.
He/she works with other functions to implement new regulations and to support product and project management.
Furthermore, the Senior Legal assists the Sales Team and the other teams of the Branches and provides support to the Complaints department and Financial Partners.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Management of contractual documentation Reviews and validates contract drafts for B2B and B2C contracts, based on the guidelines of legal department.
Supports dedicated departments in relations with financial partners for contractual and legal issues.
Reviews and validates contract drafts with external vendors for the purchase of good and services and the outsourcing of activities.
Reviews supporting documentation for Nap Committee.
Collaborates with external consultants and experts on Legal and Regulatory matters.
Coordinates activities and validation processes with Policy Servicing (Dublin) on Italian market regulations, as well as any product/partner/contractual-related topics.
Support to product and project management Collaborates with Head Office functions for the identification and the implementation of the regulations and laws to be applied to the Italian Branch of the company.
Support to Sales Team in the design and development of insurance products and on legal and regulatory related assignments or topics (e. g.
studies on new guarantees).
Prepares supporting documentation related products and projects management.
Support to Complaints department and Financial Partners on Italian Compliants Management.
Is responsible for preparing a legal opinion in response to specific ad hoc legal requests.
Legal watch and regulation analysis Organizes and manages the Italian Legal watch.
Supports analysis and comprehension of Italian and European rules and regulations, by: Analyzing Italian and European regulatory changes.
Aligning with the compliance CACI team on regulatory updates.
Provides legal support to the departments concerned in case of inspection by the authorities.
Management of complaints and litigations Manages litigations with B2C and B2B customers, in collaboration with dedicated team in Dublin.
Travel to Paris have to expected.
