As a Senior Workplace, Health and Safety (WHS) Specialist at Amazon, you'll drive improvements on-site and regionally, helping colleagues maintain high standards and fostering a culture of safety and inclusivity. Your role is key to developing, implementing, and upholding Amazon's high safety and wellbeing standards. You'll work on various projects, from equipment and process inspections to assessing processes and building design, and collaborate with colleagues from across the business. Amazon Logistics handles last mile delivery duties, and our goal is to make customers' delivery experience as smooth as possible. We're people-focused and supportive, with 24/7 shifts in most locations. Your key responsibilities will include managing programmes, analysing data reports, providing guidance on health and safety projects, and driving programmes to improve technical equipment specifications. You'll also manage your team and help them implement changes in response to employee feedback. Your role is instrumental in keeping employees safe, managing their satisfaction, and supervising their wellbeing and productivity. You'll step in and take ownership of health and safety to foster a culture that revolves around operating safely. The Workplace Health and Safety team plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work, working with managers, associates, and local governments to ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe. Your day will be varied, based at one of our sites, allowing you to directly contribute to many aspects of our safety culture. You'll manage health and safety standards while improving functionality and efficiency, and above-average willingness to travel within the covered region is required.
