About the Role:

Kariera Group recruitment services are actively seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client in Milan, Italy on a 30-month contract. Please note the candidate will be required to work on a freelance/self-employed basis.

Responsibilities: Ability to review design and develop mechanical systems and components based on project specifications and requirements. Understanding of detailed drawings and specifications. Conduct stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics simulations to validate designs and ensure performance under operating conditions. Utilize software tools such as ANSYS or COMSOL or equivalent for simulation and analysis. Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e. g. , ASME, ASTM). Perform inspections and testing of mechanical systems to verify performance and quality. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers. Identify and resolve technical issues, proposing innovative solutions. Ensure adherence to local, national, and international regulations. Requirements: BSC Degree or equivalent in oil and gas. EPIC and Oil and gas experience; fluency in English and Italian. Experience using Engineering Design Software (e. g. , AutoCAD), SAP2000, ANSYS or similar, Microsoft Office; utilize process simulation software (e. g. , Aspen Plus, HYSYS) to model and evaluate process performance. Computer skills required. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Organizational skills: Time Management, Task management, Planning, Attention to Detail, Problem-Solving, Communication. PMP or similar, Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE), ASME Certifications, Safety Certifications, Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred. Benefits:
