For our brand-new office located in Milano Bicocca we are looking for a: Senior Network Operations Engineer Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Operations Engineer to oversee capacity planning and ensure the smooth operation of our network infrastructure.

This role requires expertise in the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of all network devices, connections, links, peerings, and BGPs, as well as the ability to design resilient network architectures.

Key Responsibilities: Configure, monitor, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.

Manage and/or optimize network connections, peerings, and BGP routing.

Implement and maintain network configurations to optimize performance and security.

Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify and resolve performance issues.

Conduct regular reviews of routing policies and update as necessary to ensure optimal traffic flow.

Conduct capacity planning to ensure the network can handle future growth and increased traffic.

Execute network upgrades and expansions based on capacity requirements.

Develop strategies to optimize network capacity and performance.

Implement network architectures that ensure high availability, redundancy, and resiliency.

Evaluate and deploy solutions to improve network fault tolerance and minimize downtime.

Collaborate with other teams to integrate resilient network designs into overall infrastructure.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, topologies, and procedures.

Generate detailed reports on network performance, capacity planning, and project status.

Ensure all network documentation adheres to industry standards and best practices.

Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in network engineering.

Propose and implement improvements to network infrastructure and operations.

Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance.

Manage and maintain relationships with other ISP and network suppliers.

Preferred experience with or exposure to CDN infrastructures.

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in Telco network operations and engineering.

Skills: Deep knowledge of TCP/IP (LAN e WAN), routing IP v4 e v6, based on OSPF and BGP.

Setup configuration and troubleshooting of network devices (Cisco and others) from scratch.

Good knowledge of BASH scripting and Shell command.

Advanced configuration of open-source network monitor utilities with custom scripts (common Linux script languages).

Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and within a team.

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Certifications: CCNP or equivalent certification is mandatory.

CCIE or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
