Senior Operational Excellence Coordinator
OverviewKemin Cavriago is looking for a Senior Operational Excellence Coordinator who is a professional who helps companies implement the principles of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
This role leads the campus in applying industrial excellence principles with a systematic approach to eliminate waste and increase productivity and efficiency.
It focuses on identifying and eliminating processes that add no value to the product or service while streamlining remaining processes to make them more efficient. The Lean Specialist is responsible for training employees on new methodologies, procedures, and techniques, as well as overseeing their implementation on site.
He/She may also be tasked with developing plans for long-term improvements to production methods or equipment.
He/She promotes the culture of continuous improvement through knowledge sharing of tools and methodologies and through engagement initiatives of all plant functions (including mainly operators and shift leaders). ResponsibilitiesProviding coaching and training for new employees about Lean Manufacturing PrinciplesUnderstanding and applying the basic concepts of Lean thinking/Operational excellence to the Kemin ProcessesSupporting the Site Manager to coordinate performance improvement projects, ensuring cost reduction and productivity increase goals. Working with managers, supervisors, and operators to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvementLeading process improvement activities, implementing process changes, and participating in projects using Lean tools and methodsTraining and coaching employees at all levels in Lean concepts and toolsSupporting the development of Standard Work & Procedures (best practices)Leading and developing the Root Cause Analysis culture, workshops, Kaizen events, cost reduction projects, WPO, value stream mapping, and training the whole team to the application. Collecting and analyzing data to support data analysis, reporting, and decision-making processes. Implementing and ensuring a management system (cascade meetings, KPI, OPI, and KAI) to monitor campus performances. Applying background & knowledge on production organization to facilitate change management processes. Focusing on leading by example, being strongly focused in the field, and working with production organization knowledge & backgroundAdopting and promoting behaviors in line with Kemin values. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related fieldRequired production managerial experience from 3 to 5 years in structured production contexts (production manager, line manager, etc.
)Good knowledge about production organizationExperience in project management (leading projects in the shop floor, with production teams)Experience in Continuous Improvement, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to think creativelyGoal-oriented and attitude for the leadership model "leading by example"5+ years' experience in process improvement, quality management, or similar roleOriented towards the culture of change and teamworkProven track record of leading and implementing successful process improvement initiativesLean (or Lean Six Sigma) certificationExcellent communication skillsAnalytical skills and data-driven thinkingOutstanding communication, presentation, and facilitation skillsStress-resistant and positively mindedHigh level of integrity and compliance with corporate cultureKnowledge of Italian and English language (fluent) #J-18808-Ljbffr
