Senior/Principal Consultant - Advisory Team Italy
We are looking for a Senior/Principal Consultant to join our Italian Advisory team and play a key role in supporting public and private clients such as local public transport operators, concessionaires, investment funds, financial institution and public authorities. The selected candidate will work on a variety of projects including strategic, economic and financial advice to transport operators or public authorities in relation to the concession of public transport services, fleet renewal/acquisition, and the implementation of mass rapid transit systems. The successful candidate will conduct strategic, market and technical analysis, and manage projects in the bus and rail market, demonstrating initiative, strong critical thinking and team working skills. RequirementsThe preferred candidate for this role will have some or all of the following:- 5+ years' relevant experience in the transport sector with a good knowledge of the public transport industry, both rail and bus; - Ability to take on a project management role and deliver successful projects (time, cost, quality); - Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; - Ability to produce reports in a logical and well-structured manner with strong narrative development/story telling skills;- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain analysis clearly and confidently to non-technical audiences and to liaise with clients; - Excellent interpersonal, time management and team working skills; - Ability to take initiative and work autonomously; - Fluency in English. Previous experience in transport consultancy will be viewed positively. Software skills - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); - Familiarity with public transport planning and scheduling software ( Optibus, Maior, IVU) preferred. Educational background Engineering or business related degree or equivalent experience in infrastructure and transport projects.
