Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Possess an aesthetic sense and be attentive to new trends and competitors' proposals to translate stylistic inputs into the Ralph Lauren brand.
This involves conducting research trips to industry archives or suppliers, fairs, etc.
- Interface with internal design and technical teams for the development and interpretation of points to pass to suppliers.
- Collaborate through meetings with our fabric, research, and accessories offices to effectively plan activities related to sample development, monitoring progress, and coordinating various stakeholders.
- Have an interpretive spirit for design (sketch or flat) and communicate this information to internal technicians and suppliers assigned.
- Collect data for pre-pricing analysis, identifying potential critical areas in achieving the target and studying possible solutions.
- Manage the fitting planning of prototypes and final control of samples before delivery.
- Oversee and plan the workflow during the phases of prototyping, post-fitting prototyping, stock fitting, and line review, while also monitoring production workflow.
- Manage and plan the delivery of samples through the management, control, and updating of POs related to various vendors.
Provide support services to suppliers and also handle the shipping of vintage items.
- Manage and update photographic archives of points, samples, and prototypes to be archived, keeping track in designated archives.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in knitwear.
- Strong organizational and planning skills for the development of women's knitwear and jersey collections.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of management software, particularly PLM, and proficiency in Adobe Suite (XD and Illustrator) will be considered a plus.
