Senior Production Manager (Leather Goods)About the jobReporting to the Industrial Director, as Production Manager you will be responsible for all planning and production activities linked to Montblanc Leather Goods.
With the support of your team, you will assure that operations objectives regarding production capacity, delivery rate, and cost efficiency are met, or put in place action plans to reach them. The Production Manager is in charge of manufacturer relationships and will collaborate with them on a daily basis. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT? As Production Manager, you will be in charge of:Production performance managementBuilding and maintaining good relationships with vendorsMonitoring production performance at each step of the processDefining and editing Performance KPI with Vendor Rating for manufacturersAnimating regular meetings with partners for performance review and following up on implementation of action plansSupporting operationally your team with prioritization for capacity allocation at manufacturersManaging priorities or action plans at the Pelletteria Richemont logistic center for shipments to the Montblanc logistic centerLeading improvement actions to reduce production lead-times in coordination with continuous improvement teamsGuaranteeing the success of the Maison's launch plan for novelties, ensuring deliveries are on time, meet requested profitability, and quality requirementsAssuring efficient coordination between purchasing, industrialization, and production phasesPreparing alerts/reports with operational teams if discrepancies ariseFollowing the milestones of novelties projects on a weekly basisParticipating actively in weekly novelties meetings and providing corrective actions to production/purchasing issuesWorking with the Industrialization & Purchasing Team to shorten the Time To Market of noveltiesIdentifying process bottlenecks and implementing solutions in a timely mannerManaging mid and long-term planning activities for Leather GoodsRunning the monthly cycle of planning in PRF, in collaboration with manufacturers and Maison's Operations teamsPreparing workload analysis for mid/long term horizon and validating with the Montblanc development team manufacturer allocationsProposing alternatives to Montblanc Operations teams in case of overload or potential lack of productionResearching new partners with the Industrial Director and defining ramp-up plans if neededCommunicating major changes to all PRF departmentsMonitoring material consumptions on a monthly basis and defining action plans with PRF departments and manufacturers to reduce consumptionsImplementing actions to reduce COGS regularly while assuring quality standardsHOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US? Degree in Engineering/Business Management or equivalent is preferred. 8-10 years of experience as a Production planning and/or control expert within a structured Group/Brand in the Leather Goods industry. At least one experience as a manager of a team. Ability to manage flows and methods of finished product on toll manufacturing by interacting with external factories. Proficiency in English (B2 Level or more). Knowledge of ERP systems (knowledge of SAP will be considered a strong plus). Ability to negotiate and interact effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Stress self-control and proactive approach.
