To strengthen our team, we are looking for at the earliest possible date at our location in Milano: Senior Property Underwriter (m/w/d) Job Description Underwriting of profitable business in accordance with MSIGEU standards, processes, Rules and Principles, instructions and authorities, such as: Risk analysis, rating tool/premium calculation, compilation of data for referrals, preparation of tenders as well as negotiations. Examination and negotiation of wordings. Binding of new business and preparation of relevant information to be transferred to Underwriting Assistant's Dept. in order to finalize data booking correctly. Participation in meetings and individual appointments with clients. Preparation of proposals (referral's processes) regarding underwriting decisions (beyond authority). Monitoring the portfolio regarding commercial requirements. Portfolio management, profitability control and, if necessary, implementation of corrective measures. Adapting underwriting strategy, risk appetite and pricing policy. Determination of reinsurance requirements in close cooperation with Head of Property. Working and liaising with Claims Dept. to improve the underwriting process. Supporting the Head of Property and all other Underwriters in all relevant activities. Planning of business development, action to expand new and existing business. Providing an efficient service to Clients and Brokers. Participation in strategy discussions (internal/external). Special tasks (e. g. , developing new products jointly with the Head of Property). Qualification Engineering or Business Economics or Law Degree. Several years' professional experience in Underwriting or handling Property Business. Experience in Power and Utilities operational business (including renewable energies) is a plus. High ability to think analytically and systematically. High level of self-motivation and resilience. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to cooperate and be a team player. Good organizational skills. Ability to think and act entrepreneurially along with decision-making capability. Confident handling of common MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. ).
