Your role

We are looking for a Senior R&D Smarteyewear Product Design Engineer who will join our R&D Department.

Main responsibilities:

Develop and act as reference for the development of complex mechanical solutions as a member of a multi-disciplinary teamIdeate, design, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systemsPush state-of-the-art technologies and approaches to solve complex mechanical problemsWork across the full product development cycle, especially from idea, to concept definition and to product finalizationCollaborate closely with industrial designers, UX team and qualityTravel to and support engineering builds and vendor visitsMain requirements:

Educational Background in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial DesignKnowledge and Experience of Parametric 3D Cad Software, better if Creo softwareKnowledge and Experience on PDM, better if Windchill systemKnowledge on design and process of Injection molding3+ years of industry experience in mechanical design or in mold DesignExperience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, geometric tolerancing, and 3D/2D CADKnowledge of design and simulation tools, prototyping tools, manufacturing technologies and materialsWorking knowledge in material properties, such as plastics, metal, adhesive, glass, etc. Experience building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teamsExperience operating autonomously across multiple teamsHigh level of organizational skillsScientific approach and great problem-solving skillsAbility to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervisionPrevious experience in Consumer Electronics Product Development is greatly appreciatedExperience with Office 365Experience in managing a team of R&D Product Design Engineer5+ year of field experience
