Senior Researcher in the Field of Mountain Emergency MedicineLocation: Bozen/BolzanoFull-time, Part-timeInstitute of Mountain Emergency MedicineThe Institute of Mountain Emergency Medicine works in close collaboration with the National Health Service aiming to implement scientific projects in the field of mountain emergency.
The predominant research objectives include establishing international registries, performing randomised clinical trials and field studies, plus developing international guidelines.
Our research endeavors in this field are dedicated to exploring the various health effects associated with injuries in mountain areas.
Our research studies are designed to advance our understanding of the pathophysiology of mountain-related injuries and illnesses, develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic devices and triage tools, collect clinical and experimental data, and formulate evidence-based recommendations for the prevention, rescue, and medical management of emergencies in mountainous and remote areas.
Results are published regularly in scientific journals and presented at scientific meetings, workshops, and congresses.
Moreover, we promote and offer education and training in the field of mountain emergency medicine.
We have direct access to the terraXcube research infrastructure, enabling our collaborators to drive innovation and lead impactful projects through our extensive network with major clinical and research institutions dedicated to investigating mountain emergency medicine field.
