Senior Social Media Lead

PURPOSE:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Social Media Lead to lead our social media strategy across all platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving local fan engagement, expanding our global social footprint and ensuring our brand voice remains authentic and aligned with our club values.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: With the support of internal stakeholders, develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to engage fans, promote matches, and increase brand visibility across all platforms (Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc. ). With the support of our Creative Team, create, curate, and manage high-quality, engaging social content including graphics, videos, photos, and live updates from matches, training sessions, and press events. Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics, providing insights to refine strategies and increase fan engagement. Lead the social media team, managing day-to-day operations, including scheduling content and ensuring brand consistency across platforms. Collaborate with the Marketing, Sport comms, Partnerships, and creative teams to align social media campaigns with broader marketing initiatives, such as production promotions and sponsorship obligations. Stay updated on trends in social media, digital marketing, and football culture to innovate and enhance the club's digital presence. In collaboration with the marketing comms team, manage relationships with social media influencers and external agencies to maximize social media reach and effectiveness. Ensure a strong brand voice, delivering clear and consistent messaging in line with the club's values and objectives. SKILLS: Proven experience (5+ years) in social media management, ideally in the sports or related industries. Expertise in all major social media platforms and tools, with a deep understanding of each platform's algorithms, features, and best practices. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team. Strong understanding of team budget management. An understanding of social media analytics tools and the ability to turn data into actionable insights. Creativity and storytelling ability, with a passion for football and an understanding of fan culture. Organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle crises or sensitive topics in a professional manner. Proficiency in written English and Italian is essential. Business units: MARKETING
