Among the European leaders in Wealth Management solutions, Prometeia is looking for a Senior Software Analyst to join the IT team in its Bologna office. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:A Senior Software Analyst is responsible for evaluating, designing, and improving software solutions to meet business needs.
The software analysts gather and analyze user requirements, collaborate with developers to define system functionalities, and ensure the software aligns with organizational goals.
Software Analysts also document processes, perform system testing, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations for improvements.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical skills are essential, as they serve as a bridge between stakeholders, users, and the development team to ensure successful project outcomes. REQUIREMENTS: Medium expertise in Python and SQL for data manipulation, with basic knowledge of statistical modeling and algorithms relevant to risk managementGood understanding of database structures and financial data architecture. Knowledge of at least one among credit, market and liquidity risk is preferredFamiliarity with advanced risk models (Value-at-Risk, Expected Credit Loss, etc. )

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 2+ years of experience in software analysis, ideally with a focus on financial risk management within the banking sector. Experience with cross-functional teams, ensuring project milestones and mentoring junior analysts. Ability to produce clear, concise documentation (business requirements, functional specifications, methodological documentation, marketing/strategic documentation).
SOFT SKILLS: Ability to communicate with internal teams, external stakeholders and clientsStrong interpersonal skills for collaborating with developers, risk managers, and other stakeholders. Problem-solving mindset.
Strong focus on understanding and identifying discrepancies and finding the right solutions.
