Role purposeThe purpose of the role as Senior Software Engineer is to oversee the development and implementation of backend systems, ensure the delivery of scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions that meet business objectives, collaborate with the other members of the team and lead junior figures. Main Responsabilities• Analyzing business requirements and translate them into technical tasks• Refactoring and maintaining existing software• Defining and implementing solutions to new business needs• Keeping technical governance of initiatives and being able to relate with business, provide and maintain technical documentation• Sharing knowledge during cross team activities and mentoring Juniors colleaguesMinimum required skill set, knowledge, and experience• Advanced knowledge of Java and SpringBoot• Advanced knowledge of Container technology (Kubernetes, Openshift)• Deep understanding of Microservice Architecture and knowledge of main patterns• Good level of English• Good knowledge of Version Control System (Git) and build tool (Gradle)• Good knowledge of AWS services (IAM, EC2, EKS)• Basic knowledge of IaaC (Terraform)• Basic knowledge of Redis, MongoDB, Kafka• Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, ArgoCD)Main Office: MilanWho we areYou may have already heard of Vodafone - We're a leading Telecommunications company in Europe and Africa.
