Senior Supplier Performance Engineer

About the role:As a Supplier Performance Engineer, you will implement delivery certainty models to realize the full supplier cultural and commercial potential and draw on our quality assurance and risk management experience in highly regulated, politically charged, stakeholder-rich environments. You will manage relationships with suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality metal work components and contribute to solutions to the complex aspects of a project or process.
You will report to the Supplier Performance Manager and be located in Monfalcone (Italy). You will be part of the AP1000 program in Europe with a specific focus on Bulgaria and Poland: this will require your availability to travel for 25% of your time.
Responsibilities:Conduct overall supplier assessments, evaluating suppliers' capabilities for complex technical products and processes, and ensuring that a supplier manufacturing facility has all the machines, spare parts, material, components, and supplies required to operate. Lead supplier development and qualification activities for new products and cost reduction efforts with a subject matter expert approach. Evaluate procurement risk, solicit stakeholder input, and leverage tools to manage Oversight Plans. Manage flow down of Quality and Technical requirements to suppliers, e. g. , NQA-1, ISO, Design Specifications, Approved Processes, etc. Drive supplier performance, including supplier performance scorecard/dashboard. Develop Performance Improvement Plans, managing the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) process: performing cause analyses and verifying completion of preventative and corrective actions. Lead and escalate "quality events", coordinating activities, issuing communications, and identifying partners to ensure prompt identification of impacted products, disposition, and corrective action. Coordinate supplier documentation reviews by appropriate Westinghouse functions, including the Supplier Non-Conformance Reports. Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering. 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering/manufacturing. Knowledge in manufacturing processes, e. g. , precision machining (turning, milling, etc. ), welding, forming, mechanical assembly, NDE and inspection, and testing. Fluent in English and Italian. Experience performing supplier qualification and development. Experience leading multiple projects. Ability to read drawings and specifications made to ASME standards. Why Westinghouse?
