Join us today and make a difference in people's lives!- FULL REMOTE opportunity within Italy -LivaNova is hiring a Senior SW Designer – Back End Web for the design and development of the Essenz Perfusion Data Management web-based application. Join LivaNova and follow its innovation roadmap through the Cardiopulmonary area, where the new Essenz Perfusion System supports the perfusionists and the entire heart team in delivering truly patient-centric perfusion therapies and continuously improve clinical practice. You can be part of a success story, following new features and algorithms development for the new Essenz Patient Monitor application that allows detailed recording and processing of perfusion data during cardiopulmonary bypass procedures. Responsibilities:Microservices Architecture: Design, develop, and implement microservices-based architecture to ensure scalability, modularity, and maintainability of backend systems. . NET Technologies: Utilize the Microsoft. NET framework and associated technologies, such as ASP. NET Core, C#, and Entity Framework, for backend development. API Development: Create robust and efficient RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between microservices and enable seamless integration with front-end applications. Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas, perform data modeling, and work with databases, such as Microsoft SQL Server or other NoSQL databases, to ensure data integrity and performance. Scalability and Performance: Implement strategies to optimize the performance and scalability of microservices, considering factors like load balancing, caching, and distributed systems. Security: Implement security best practices, including data encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms, to safeguard the backend systems and data. DevOps Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment, monitoring, and continuous integration processes for microservices. Testing: Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests to ensure the reliability and quality of backend services. Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and knowledge sharing among team members. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers, to deliver integrated and cohesive solutions. Requirements:Master Degree in Computer Science, or Software EngineeringFluency in English is a must have. Consolidate experience (5+ years) experience in SW development of web-based applicationC# and. NET: Proficient in C# programming language and the. NET framework. Microservices: In-depth understanding of microservices architecture principles and best practices. API Development: Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs. Database Knowledge: Strong database design and SQL skills, with experience in both relational and NoSQL databases. Containerization: Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker. Version Control: Proficient with version control systems, such as Git. DevOps: Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment. Testing Frameworks: Experience with unit testing and integration testing frameworks. Security: Understanding of security principles and best practices in application development. Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance.
