As a District Service Manager South, you will have an important role delivering high-quality service to Varian Medical System's customers in the Italian region of the South area (Campania/Molise/Puglia/Basilicata/Calabria/Sicilia).
The successful candidate will direct the coordination of technical and administrative support activities including repair, preventative maintenance and engineering change upgrades in order to provide the highest level of service, maximize the use of devices and customer satisfaction, and achieve financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage customer relations in all service and maintenance matters to ensure customers can operate their Varian Medical System equipment according to technical and safety guidelines with the highest level of satisfaction.
Provide direction for the delivery of pre-and post-sales services and support to customers.
Perform all required management responsibilities including implementing the company's policies, programs, and guidelines; ensuring employee productivity and growth; managing resources.
Analyze operational processes, escalation procedures and perform training needs assessments for identifying opportunities for service delivery improvements.
Cooperate with other departments and provide necessary support to optimize customer relations.
Participate in the resolution of customer concerns and define a customer contact strategy.
Ensure adequate records and systems are maintained. Schedule resources responding to critical situations.
Promote workplace safety and monitor compliance with company rules.
Manage a profit and loss center and achieve assigned KPIs.
Achieve target budgets and monitor financial performance to ensure service objectives.
Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:
5+ years' experience in a technical area or similar roles within the medical device or diagnostics laboratory industry.
People management experience.
Engineering Degree (preferred).
Ability and confidence to lead and mentor people.
Resident in the district (preferably in Campania/Puglia or available to relocate to that area).
Available to travel several days per week in the assigned territory (around 3 days/week).
Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
Sound understanding and application of contract structuring, negotiation, and quotations.
Fighting cancer calls for big ideas.
