We are looking for a SERVICES ENGINEER for our Site in Bologna.
The Service Signalling Engineer will contribute to the Signaling Service Engineering activities, particularly in the areas of development of digital initiatives and services (Control Room) and ISR (Integrated Service Readiness) activities, i. e. , all those activities that are preparatory to ensure the correct maintenance of a signaling system.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities In its mission related to the development of Digital Services, the person will deal with:
Contributing pro-actively to the development of the Control Room, ensuring its correct functioning and identifying possible areas for improvement. Defining the Software developments of the Control Room through "agile" specifications. Improving the internal technical assistance process by proposing new digital services (improvement of call recording, management of documentation, and reporting). Defining proposals for customers in terms of digital services related to signaling maintenance activities. Contributing to the maintenance and configuration of the Control Room and digital services. Contributing to the preparation of documentation necessary for the use and maintenance of the Control Room and digital services. Contributing to the definition of the Control Room and Digital Services roadmap together with the Service Signaling Engineering Manager. In its mission related to ISR activities, the person will deal with:
Reviewing and defining areas for improvement in the maintenance manuals provided by D&IS. Defining maintenance plans based on the maintenance manuals provided by D&IS. Contributing to the construction of the LCC related to the maintenance of signaling systems. Contributing to the definition of management plans for Obsolescence. Proposing, jointly with the Service management, possible roadmaps for updating the signaling systems in terms of Baseline. Defining training plans for both internal staff of the Signaling Service and for the customer's staff. Contributing to the definition of the RAM data collection process. Additional activities that can be carried out include:
Continuous improvement through the adoption of digital processes and services. Participation in tenders by analyzing technical requirements and drafting related technical documentation. Participation in D&IS DFQ cycles for defining the Maintainability requirements of the signaling systems. Proposing improvements to tools and diagnostic tools developed by D&IS. Contributing to the management of obsolescence in charge of the Service structure. Requirements Degree in Engineering (Electronic – IT – Telecommunications); MSC in Engineering will be considered a plus. Result and customer orientation. Good predisposition to teamwork. Knowledge of SAP and RAM. Knowledge of digital services and web applications. Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and the office package. Predisposition for continuous learning and updating on the digital world. Previous experience (2+ years) in development of Hardware and/or Software Electronic Systems and Solutions or in Engineering activities will be considered a plus. The knowledge of the following topics will be considered a plus:
Cloud computing. Data mining, big data, and machine learning. Cybersecurity. Obsolescence management. Knowledge of Railway industry. Knowledge of Signalling System. Experience in the maintenance of complex systems.
