We are looking for an experienced, competent, reliable, and professional individual to manage our farm shop and to check in the visitors to the Gardens.

Our goal is to offer a unique experience to our visitors, combining the beauty of the gardens with a selection of carefully chosen products, and we are searching for a Shop Manager who can contribute to our success. Role Description: The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily management of the shop and operations within Giardini Pistola, working from Tuesday to Sunday for 7 hours per day.

The main duties will include: Selling shop products: actively selling the products for sale in our farm shop and taking care of the sales till. Selling gardens admissions: actively encouraging the purchase of visitor tickets for entry to the Gardens, providing information on attractions and special events. Managing garden admissions: overseeing the control of garden entrances, informing customers about services and events during the season. Inventory management: monitoring stock levels and placing orders to ensure the shop is always well-stocked. Customer assistance: providing professional support to customers, resolving any issues related to products and garden access. Administrative management: handling cash operations, preparing weekly sales and performance reports, and managing the shop's administrative documentation. Shop maintenance: ensuring that the shop is always tidy and visually appealing. Requirements: For this role, we are looking for someone with: Previous experience, in retail shop management or in similar roles, preferably in the specialised artisanal products sectorExcellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written, to interact with an international clientele and handle business communications. Administrative skills, including managing cash operations, preparing reports, and handling the shop's paperwork. Leadership and team management abilities, to motivate and coordinate the shop staff (when required). Strong communication skills, to provide excellent customer service and effectively manage interactions with the public. Organizational and problem-solving skills, to address daily challenges and handle multiple tasks at once. Physically fit, and capable of carrying products to and from storage. Flexibility and willingness to work weekends. What we offer: Fixed-term contract from mid-April to mid-October.
