Shop Manager
_The Shop Manager_** supports all aspects of the retail operations, including sales, ticketing, hospitality services, staff, carrying out stock taking, stock inputting on system and daily ordering, resources management, and administrative duties.
The principal responsibility is maximizing revenues and profit while ensuring great customer service and an excellent looking, pleasant shopping experience.
This is a full-time position, weekends are the busiest days.
Evenings are sometimes required.
Ideal working days are Thursday - Monday (weekend included), working in shift with team hosts upon occurrence.
**Responsibilities**:
Key Performance Indicators for this position are:
- Business Management
- Analysis - analyze business on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Factor identification - analyze product, price, ticket sales, customers, visual merchandising, marketing strategies, promotions, offers, events to identify factors impacting the business to drive revenue and profit.
- Business health - identify the factors that are strengths and weaknesses for the business.
- Action plan - ensure we maintain the strengths and mitigate or eliminate weaknesses to keep the business strong, profitable and on-brand.
- Use and update properly given system for daily financial and stock transactions (e. g.
Admit1/Anchor, SAP, Shopify, etc.
)
- Ticketing
- Ensure ticket slots availability/closure with proper system setup
- Check business opportunity related to ticket sales, promotion, combo offer in order to boost Casa Martini visitors footfall
- Inventory Management
- Analysis - analyze previous year results and current trends to ensure property inventory and prevent stock outage.
- Identification - identify fast sellers, slow movers, non-sellers to continually optimize product offering for profitability.
- Simplification/consolidation - analyze depletion and profitability by vendor to ensure best mix of vendors, product selection, pricing, and simplification of administrative processes.
- Shrinkage & pilferage - maintain compliance to control any shrinkage or pilferage.
- Stock take - participate in thorough count procedures that comply with Finance blueprints and audit guidelines.
Both random and planned.
- Ensure that all deliveries are properly received, recorded and stored.
- Ensure all inventory is always kept neatly and safely - from theft or damage.
- Visual Merchandise & Marketing Material
- Understand merchandising and display standards for an optimal customer experience and sales maximization.
- Maintain display standards of excellence and update with any new brand materials, as appropriate.
- Ensure all merchandising in on-brand.
- Implement seasonal displays.
- Back-of-House - maintain standards of display and order in the back of house as well as the front.
- Promotion and Offer Management
- Understand promotion display standards and maintain updated.
- Develop and execute retail promotion plan for the year, coordinating with Marketing.
Include seasonal promotions, product launches and offers tailored to visitor segments.
- Partecipate actively on new item developing for retail opportunities.
- Customer Service
- Maintain a motivated team to create an ambiance where our visitors can enjoy selecting quality products with excellent customer service.
- Database management - lead efforts to collect customer data through retail experience.
This includes contact information and visitor demographic information.
- Staffing - attendance.
- People Management
- Training and induction program - conduct induction program and ongoing training for team members.
Develop renewed training materials.
- Team building and motivation - conduct daily team briefings for clear understanding of business and goals to keep team informed and motivated.
- Task delegation and monitoring - ensure clear understanding of roles and responsibility by all team members, monitor progress and coach to ensure success.
- Floor management
- Inventory replenishment - maintain a plan to ensure adequate product on the floor and in on-site inventory.
- Visual merchandising standards - oversee all displays and ensure immediate corrections.
- Marketing material - ensure always on-brand, correct and compliant.
- Housekeeping - ensure cleanliness standards.
- Store ambiance - ensure all aspects meet standards of excellence and customer experience - temperature, lighting, music, layout, order, clear signs.
Skills and Experience
Position requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of English.
- At least three years of progressive experience in a retail operation.
- Must be proficient with computers and comfortable quickly learning new systems.
- Casa MARTINI is open seven days a week.
Weekends are the busiest days and we sometimes host groups and events in the evenings.
