Site Manager Kemin Cavriago (Italy)
Overview:
Kemin Cavriago is the Center of Excellence for encapsulation and has manufacturing lines that can produce products through different innovative processes.
Cavriago is located in the region of Emilia Romagna.
The site has about 98 employees (blue/white collar) and an annual turnover of up to 20 Mio EUR.
- The Site Manager of Kemin Cavriago will have the responsibility to lead and oversee the entire operational activities in this production site and to establish a large investment through the new projects/installation of production lines.
- The incumbent will direct and control resources to ensure all aspects of the operations are adequately equipped to achieve business goals and policies of the company.
- He/she will assume full P&L responsibilities, be entirely responsible for the Supply of the produced products to other Business Units of the company over the globe, in time and in full.
- Also, an important part of the role is to provide leadership to and nurture, motivate and manage people in the Cavriago organization.

**Responsibilities**:
- Lead a manufacturing location and key-functions: production, maintenance, logistics, customer service and HSE (health, safety & environment).
Assure supply in time and in full with the optimal costs of logistics.
- Be a coordinator/leader of a local leadership team, which includes colleagues from other functions as Quality, Finance, R&D, Engineering, etc.
Ensure good cooperation and interaction of all functions; hold regular meetings, coordinate the prioritization of the use of internal resources, etc.
- Assure the location is provided with necessary external resources, maintain appropriate industry contacts, government bodies and industrial organizations.
Proactively prepare infrastructure (including buildings) to assure that new production lines and products are timely started
- Ensure compliance with all obligations to government authorities, customers, creditors, and other stakeholders
- Establish and monitor productivity benchmarks to achieve worldwide standards.
Check, monitor and improve production capacity in a view of a higher productivity.
Proactively define, monitor, and optimize production capacities according to sales prospect.
- Analyze and propose required investments (CAPEX) and set up budgets for operational expenses (OPEX).
- Develop and maintain operations and maintenance procedures/methods according to the ISO-standards and GMP;
- Timely report performance indicators and other agreed data
- Be a biggest contributor for a start-up of new-lines and support of WW Engineering.
- Manage talent pipeline, support personnel development plans, and develop a "ready now" successor
- Assure all the task in a Quality system (complaints, non-conformities, etc. )
are executed timely
- Provide a fair contribution in the company's WW+ Regional strategy building and execution
- Promote safety culture and servant leadership concept through the whole organization at the manufacturing location of Cavriago
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior management position (production manager and higher) in Operations or Engineering
- Chemistry degree or Engineer Process Technology preferred, or equivalent by experience
- Experience in agriculture, food, chemical and/or veterinary industry will be an advantage
- Fluent in English.
Italian will be a big asset.
Other languages are welcomed also.
- Ability to build a strong, robust, and agile manufacturing and cross-functional processes.
- Lean manufacturing tools and approaches knowledge is a plus
- Computer literate: Office, M3 (or SAP) is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
