Offer DescriptionThe project focuses on the study, modeling, and optimization of trolleybus networks in Italian urban areas.
To enhance system efficiency and optimize energy flows, it is crucial to better integrate these networks with renewable energy sources and the existing urban electric grid.
The project will explore several key technologies: stationary energy storage systems (ESS) to support the grid during peak demand, renewable energy sources (RES) to accelerate the transition to greener urban environments, and charging stations for private electric vehicles to promote seamless integration between public and private mobility. A comprehensive model of the entire system needs to be developed.
Additionally, energy management algorithms must be designed to enhance system efficiency and improve the integration of these components.
The validation of these algorithms will be carried out through real-time emulation of the network, based on the models created in the project's initial phase.
