Social Care Worker - Residential Care (Ireland)

We are looking for dedicated **Social Care Workers** to join our team in a **children's residential care setting**.
This role involves providing care, emotional support, and educational assistance to young people aged 7 to 18 who cannot live with their families.
As a **Social Care Worker**, you will contribute to care planning, implement behaviour support strategies, and provide a nurturing environment that fosters growth and emotional well-being.
**Key Responsibilities
**Support and Care** - Implement **Behaviour Support Plans (BSP)**, **Individual Crisis Management Plans (ICMP)**, and **Placement Plans** to meet each child's unique needs.
**Education and Development** - Provide **1:1 and group learning sessions**, support homework, and assist young people in reaching their academic potential.
**Documentation & Reporting** - Maintain accurate records using internal systems and liaise with professionals and caregivers.
**Teamwork** - Engage in team meetings, contribute to policy development, and support new staff.
**Health & Safety** - Implement safety policies and ensure a secure living environment.
**Household Duties** - Participate in everyday tasks, including cooking, cleaning, and basic maintenance.
**What You Need
**A minimum Level 7 qualification** in Social Care or a related field, such as:
Level 8 in Psychology
Level 7 in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Counselling, Youth and Community Work, Social Sciences, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Teaching, or Nursing.
**Qualifications recognized**:
Master of Arts in Social Work
Masters of Social Science (Social work)
Postgraduate Diploma in Social work Studies
Bachelor of Social work
Bachelor of Social studies
**Experience working with teenagers exhibiting challenging behaviour.
**A full, clean manual driving license valid in Ireland.
**Strong communication and teamwork skills.
**Familiarity with the Irish National Standards in Children's Residential Centres.
