The role
The Social Media Lead is responsible to develop, plan and execute communication and marketing programmes and campaigns on social media channels to enhance EIT Digital's brand awareness and reputation. S/He will execute and actively monitor campaigns and posts on appropriate social media channels to build awareness and plan campaigns for EIT Digital's flagship programmes. This role is a crucial member of the Marketing and Communications team and reports to the Communications and Marketing Manager.
Main responsibilities
Management of campaigns (paid and organic) on key social media platforms; Manage and maintain EIT Digital owned social channels and social accounts on day-to-day basis, create growth strategies; Manage community, communicating with followers, and monitor customer reviews; Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to implement and monitor paid social media campaigns; Work with social channel partners such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Reddit, Red Book and other social sites to create opportunities and be a first-mover in the platform; Design brand tie-ins, joint campaigns for the EIT Digital portfolio companies; Cover events live on social media (setting up livestreams, live tweeting etc); Translate complex messages to easy to grasp content that generates engagement; Take on any other responsibilities that may arise in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications and experience
MSc degree in Communications field or Marketing required; 5+ years of effective professional experience developing content and managing social media in a corporate environment; Demonstrable experience in social media management in both commercial as non-commercial organisation; Proven experience with writing, editing and crafting content on social media; Outstanding design capabilities, great eye for design; Can do attitude; Accustomed to a fast-paced environment; Ability to work in a matrix organisation; Willingness to travel. Languages
Excellent command of English is required. Knowledge of other EU languages is considered an asset.

Place of employment is at an EIT Digital office in Athens (Greece), Milano (Italy) or Berlin (Germany).
