This position is available at our head office in Saint Jean de Moirans or at our Italian subsidiary in Milan, depending on the candidate's geographical mobility. The role : As the Softgoods Product Marketing Manager, you will drive consumer, brand and product alignment in partnership with the global product creation team and the brand marketing team.
Creating the WHY before creating the WHAT.
Giving our brand fans (internal and external) a reason to believe and building confidence around our Softgoods investment and expansion.
You will drive continuity and advocate Softgoods and ensure alignment between Hardgoods and Softgoods where required.
Reporting to the GM of Softgoods, you will play a pivotal role working across a matrixed and multi-cultural organization to build, drive and maintain exciting growth.
This is an equal part creative, strategic, operational, and execution role, including GTM activations and tradeshow buildouts.
Your responsibilities : Partner with Global Brand Management to uncover salient insights, confirm our collection positioning within audiences and competitive landscape. Drive the creation, development, and execution of 360 go-to-market strategies, product focused campaigns, and activations that raise softgoods awareness, while also driving engagement and activation. Represent the Softgoods BU in the seasonal Experience Brief in partnership with the Head of Merchandising and distil the key brand initiatives to develop briefs that lead to industry-disruptive product marketing stories and work to create the supporting story-telling voice and tools.
Follow this through the full product briefing and development stages and develop inspirational storytelling and language that can be developed into campaigns. Ensure all product communication has a clear Unique Selling Position (USP) and product attributes are well translated to consumer benefits. Partner with merchandising and DTC teams to create product names that inspire purchase. Partner with Head of Merchandising and CMO to create strategic guiding documents and brand standards for the business unit and be the voice and guide for DTC photoshoots, store visual and communication. Represent softgoods with the internal creative, external agencies, and internal teams to develop and implement brand and channel/regional specific creative and content. Engage with consumer marketing team to incorporate softgoods sponsored athletes into the product creation calendar. Define, confirm and execute softgoods product collaborations. Ensure all content is compelling and translates into English well. About you : Experienced in the outdoor, sportswear and/or lifestyle industry (apparel/footwear), you have at least 6 years' experience in a similar position. You are an excellent communicator and enthusiastic collaborator who works well with team members, external partners, and senior leaders.
With the fluidity to cross and collaborate effortlessly between France and Italy. You are a creative, yet pragmatic thinker with the demonstrated experience in building deep relationships, leveraging insights, managing large-scale strategic initiatives, and bringing the execution to life on the ground. Naturally proactive and passionate, you're continuously on the lookout for new opportunities and ideas, engaging storyteller and can bring product to life, creating desire and converting that desire to purchase. You are detail-oriented with the ability to work in a cross-functional and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment on multiple projects under tight deadlines with limited resources. You are genuinely passionate about the outdoors, apparel, and footwear industry.
Ideally you are bonkers about Snowsports and can attest to your 1st pair of skis being Rossignol. Fluent written and spoken English is required.
English is the primary language used on the Softgoods team.
French is a bonus and Italian is a plus.
