We're looking for a Software Developer, to reinforce the team in our Italy office! Main ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will be responsible for maintaining the processes of harvesting, ETL, data aggregation, and data presentation within a data warehouse system. It will also be required to do data mining in case of functional anomalies. Moreover the candidate will give support to the conversion of satellite data to EO-SIP format, that is the standard for most ESA Earth Observation missions, by writing also new converters or updating the ones already present. The technical aspects in which the candidate should be strong include a solid knowledge of Linux, good proficiency in Java and Python programming, and experience with SQL queries and SQL programming, primarily with PostgreSQL. To complete these tasks, interaction with colleagues from other countries is required, making proficiency in English essential for participating in meetings. Successful CandidateDesign and development of interfaces between multi-systems data processing and transformation programming in various languages, including PL/pgSQL.
