Software Engineer
We are looking for a C/C++ Software Engineer for our client in the Netherlands (relocation to the Netherlands is required):Our client is one of Europe's largest technology companies, providing solutions in radar, communications, cybersecurity and defense technologies for governments and military organizations around the world.

A Software Challenge in Advanced Radar Technology Our client designs and manufactures cutting-edge radar systems and optical sensors that form an integral part of a complete and integrated defense system.
The product portfolio spans from compact portable radars for border or object surveillance to sophisticated four-dimensional radars capable of detecting small objects hundreds to thousands of kilometers away. Within the software department, the Sensor Processing Group takes charge of developing the software for optimal control and digital processing functions within the sensors.
This involves collaborative work in multidisciplinary teams alongside experts in system engineering, functional sensor design, and the design and implementation of real-time systems. About the Job The Sensor Processing Group is responsible for crafting the entire radar software.
This encompasses various domains, including the management of radar systems, organizing radar transmissions, and processing the digital information flow.
The goal is to detect and classify specific objects, such as aircraft and drones, track them, and present them on an operator console. As a C/C++ Software Engineer you contribute to a multidisciplinary and self-organizing team.
The software architecture is highly modular, supporting the development of robust and evolutionary systems.
Development occurs within Agile teams, backed by a modern development pipeline.
In addition to software development, the teams are fully responsible for requirements analysis, architecture, design, testing and documentation.
Your responsibility will be a mix of the following activities:Work within in a Scrum team with other software developers, in Agile mode;Contribute to the requirement definition, to the software design and you will be involved with the architectural aspects of the software projects;Integrate software components into a fully functional software system;Write well-designed, documented and testable code;Develop, test and execute full software development life cycle;Design, implement and test features with scalability, performance, deployment/operation and end-user experience in mind;Make estimations and give inputs for planning together with the team members;Collaborate with other software solutions engineer to share knowledge and improve overall product/solution. What do you bring A Bachelor/Master degree in computer science, software engineering or similar field;At least 5+ years of experience with embedded real-time software development in a multidisciplinary setting;A proven track-record working with C, C++ and Python;You have a passion for technology, and you want to collaborate with many different stakeholders;You have experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment;You love to puzzle and possess a strong analytical view combined with a pragmatic attitude;You are open, curious and able to quickly learn new domains and techniques;You have the European nationality.
