Job Description: Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated SOFTWARE ENGINEER who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples, Italy.

Accountabilities Definition of Software Requirement Specification of Wayside Equipment (RBC)Design of Software Architecture of Wayside Equipment (RBC)Coding and Debug of Wayside Applications (RBC) according to applicable specifications, coding standards and normsCooperate with other STS teams to efficiently Integrate Wayside Equipment in the framework of complex Signaling Systems to meet project delivery objectivesRequired Skills/ Knowledge Development of small-to-medium size Software Project including Real-Time featuresAdvanced knowledge of Software Engineering techniques and Software programming languages (C, C++)Good experience of modelling languages (UML)Basic knowledge of SW Configuration Management techniques and toolsBasic knowledge of Communication ProtocolsBasic knowledge of concurrent programmingExcellence in Achieving Assigned ObjectivesAbility to develop a complete vision of the problems at System levelStrong attitude at Problem Solving both at theoretical (mathematical/logical models) and at practical level (laboratory/instrumental debug and testing)Ability to share competencies and lead small SW Developers teams. ProactivityTeam spiritEducation Technical University Degree: Informatics, Electronics or Telecommunications Engineer.
