PCS. 23)We are looking for a Software Engineer for Process Control System, willing to join our Melt Shops Team, with a strong passion for technology and motivation to work within a multicultural and challenging environment. You will work in an international environment characterized by high technology complexity; you will be involved in a path of growth and in professional training along with senior colleagues. Reporting to the Management, the PCS Software Engineer will be responsible for developing the software for the Level 2 Process Control Systems of the steel production plants.

Specifically, he will be responsible for:Develop process control applications using Object Oriented languages (e. g.

C#) and relational databases (Microsoft SQL, Oracle). Create graphical user interface (HMI) pages based on HTML5 standards. Use and/or implement process control libraries and metallurgical models. Write the necessary drivers for communication with third party systems and signals acquisition from field devices, using different protocols such as Ethernet TCP/IP, Profinet, Modbus, OPC. Develop 3D graphics. Implement applications in the field of thermography. Configure Servers and PCs, with the installation of operating systems and application software. Create virtualized infrastructures, using VMWare or Hyper-V applications. Study the technical specifications of the projects. Prepare technical documentation and control system operator manuals. Participate in software testing (FAT) of the process control system (level 2), jointly with automation and supervision systems (level 1)Participate in the commissioning of the plants, carrying out all the required tests and providing the necessary assistance for commissioning, according to the project procedures and specifications. Required profile:Bachelor's/specialist degree in Automation Engineering or Software Engineering or similar technical studies. Knowledge of Object-Oriented programming languages (Java Script, C++, C#, Delphi). Knowledge of SQL SERVER and ORACLE relational databases. Knowledge of Windows Server 20xx and Windows 1x Operating Systems. Knowledge of programming in HTML 5. Knowledge of communication with OPC DA/UA (server and client). Knowledge of virtualization technologies. Good level of knowledge of spoken and written English (B1/B2). Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad for short (a few days) and medium duration (a few weeks) for technical meetings and plant commissioning.
