YOUR TEAMJob search engineYou would be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where electronics, mechanical and software engineers collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research. The Humanoid Sensing and Perception research line seeks to appoint a full-time Robotics Software Engineer to join the development team of the CONVINCE project, a collaborative research project funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe framework. YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop algorithms that allow the robot to detect and localize objects and humans in the environment;Develop algorithms for navigation in dynamical environments, taking into consideration the behavior of humans;Participate in the field test and experimental validation. WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINEA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines;Strong motivation to work with real robotic systems;Good knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Python;Good communication skills and ability to cooperate within a team;Good command in spoken and written English. EXTRA AWESOMEPrevious experience working on real robotic systems;Knowledge of C++ and development tools (e. g.

CMake and GIT);Knowledge of open source robotics software, simulators (e. g.

Gazebo) and middleware (e. g.

ROS/ROS2/YARP);Knowledge of Deep Learning frameworks (e. g.

PyTorch or others);Knowledge of Robot Navigation frameworks (e. g.

Nav2);Strong problem-solving attitude;High motivation to learn;Spirit of innovation and creativity;Good time and priority management;Ability to work in a challenging and international environment;Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment.
