We are currently looking for a
Software Engineer
to join the team in
Rome, Italy.
We are looking for a Software Engineer with a passion for developing cutting edge software.
In this role, you will contribute to enhancing our software application, which monitors the end-to-end operational flow within satellite ground segments.
This application is critical for the day-to-day operations of various Earth observation missions, ensuring efficient ground segment production and data flow.
By joining our team, you will play a key role in advancing technologies that contribute to monitoring and protecting the health of our planet.
Collaborate with the team to design, develop, test, and document high-quality code
Establish and maintain the software build, testing, and documentation infrastructure for mission-critical projects
Provide constructive feedback through code reviews, supporting and mentoring team members as needed
Effectively communicate solutions, including technical aspects, with customers and stakeholders
Requirements Ideally, you are someone who enjoys
working in a fast-paced, high-tech organization.
You have experience
solving complex software challenges
and can share your expertise with your colleagues.
Additionally, you will have the following traits:
A university degree in
Computer Science ,
Information Engineering , or
equivalent practical experience
in software development
3 to 5 years of hands-on
experience in software development , preferably within requirements-driven projects
Strong proficiency in
Python , with additional familiarity with technologies such as
Django
and
Grafana
being a plus
Knowledge of
relational databases
like PostgreSQL or similar systems
Experience with
version control systems
(e. g. , Git) and
CI/CD tools
(e. g. , GitLab, Jenkins)
Familiarity with
containerization technologies
like Docker and
hardware virtualization
(VM)
Solid communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in interdisciplinary teams
Fluency in
English , with
Italian
language skills considered an advantage
Availability to
work on-site at least one day a week
(remote work possible for the remaining days)
Bonus Skills :
Exposure to
aerospace engineering standards
(e. g. , ECSS) is a nice-to-have
Experience with
C++ ,
Java , or
C#
is appreciated but not required
